Also Laughing At…
The moron who graffitied the wall on campus with giant red letters that say:
I MAKE THE CITY BREATH.
Haaaahahahahaha, what an idiot.

Yes, I am laughing at you. Why? Because you made damn sure that every single person on that bus knew that you had four guys chasing after you, that you spent your entire paycheck on cigarettes and alcohol and weed, and that you really really like the word FUCK. And because you think that we think that you are cool because of it.

I almost forgot about this…
A month or so ago it was brought to my attention by a certain French teacher that fille chaude doesn’t just mean “hot girl” (the literal translation). More accurately, it would be interpreted to mean “horny girl.” And you know what, I’m ok with that. It’s not quite what I had in mind when I decided on the moniker at the age of… what, 14? But hey, who am I to question fate?

Chapter 1 in my sociology book talks about the fact that as much as we’d like to think of ourselves as free-thinking individuals who can do whatever we want with our lives, things are not what they seem. We’re products of our culture… we get jobs, get married, have children, all because that’s the norm and it’s engrained in us from childhood that that’s what we should want.
Does this upset anyone else? I, for one, at least like to THINK I’m unique, rather than another American fresh off the conveyor belt. Sure, I want to do all the things I just listed above, but not because somebody tells me I should, dammit.
Maybe tomorrow I’ll go to school in my Halloween costume just to give society’s expectations the middle finger.
