In Defense of (Most of) CU
The football scandal, our label as “#1 Party School,” and now the abhorrent behavior of some fans at the CU vs. Nebraska football game this past weekend have left me dismayed and ashamed. I go to a good school, dammit, and I work my ass off. Yet the actions of a few reflect badly on many, including me. I want no part of this, and I know the vast majority of students here feel the same way. I didn’t realize how much these things were going to affect me as a student until Saturday when I went to a basketball game to see my cousin play for the visitng team. Sitting in the visitors section, I heard so much disrespect for my school, and it made me so mad. Naturally, people assume that the behavior they see and hear on the news is representative of the school. But please know that those assholes do not represent me or CU. And to those unthinking jerks who do end up on the news because of moronic behavior, how you conduct yourselves reflects on 30,000 people, so maybe you should grow up.
End rant.

Do not stash apples in your purse next to your gum unless you like the taste of granny smith and peppermint combined.

My investment banker over at Edward Jones sent me a birthday card with a packet of flower seeds in it. How sweet is that? Yes, yes, I know, he’s sucking up, but still… I didn’t hear a word from a good portion of my family. I wonder if we can adopt him.

Yeah. You. In the black t-shirt with the Punisher skull on it, along with the words PUNISH-HER.
