Smartypants

Today in chemistry we learned crystal field theory. Man, do I sound smart or what?

Taking The Plunge

April 1st, 2005

I’ve always been adamant about not taking classes during the summer… I mean, summer is MY time, dammit! Why would I want to spend it doing schoolwork? Plus I know I’m one of those people who burns out easily, and I’m really not in any hurry to graduate. Until lately, anyway. Now I’m 21 and an “adult” and most of my friends are preparing to graduate in the next couple of years, while I’m over here on the six-year BA program. So, I’m doing it! I’m going to take Intro to Statistics in June.

Part of what prompted this was me finding out that the only time it’s offered in the fall is at 8am. We all know how I feel about getting up early, and I HAVE to get this class out of the way since it’s a prerequisite for most of the other classes I need for my degree. And it’s only a month-long class. I figure I can either have class at 8am three days a week for four months, OR I can have it at 9:15am five days a week for one month. Really, it’s just an issue of the path of least resistance.

So, wish me luck cause I’m gonna need it to get up at 7:15 in the morning DURING SUMMER BREAK! Hell, I’d need it to get up at 7:15 no matter what time of year it is.
