Fille Joins the Work Force

Who loves job placement? I do! I just got a bartending job at the SECOND PLACE I APPLIED. How easy is that? It’s at a little bar about 20 minutes from my house, and the manager is tres cool. We hit it off really well… turns out we share the same birthday, we both have pet rats, and she used to live in Pflugerville! It’s such a small world. I start my training tomorrow, so everyone wish me luck.

Bon Appetite

For some reason last night I became completely enamoured with epicurious.com and spent hours copying down tasty recipes onto the recipe cards my grandmother bought me when I was 10. Now I want to go buy things like medium-dry Sherry and ground cumin and hericots verts. And I totally almost bid on a set of 1,728 blank recipe cards on ebay, but then I started thinking about the storage issues that would undoubtedly create and managed to stop myself. But anyway, should anyone want to have a dinner party I can bring some pretty kick-ass dishes, so someone throw a dinner party dammit.

Welcome

Bienvenue, mes amis. It’s still under construction, but after I started having to weave my way through a maze of ads just to get to my diary on FOD, I decided to move in a little early. Pretty awesome blog, you say? Yes, I know. I owe it all to Alex. *round of applause*
